I do have a FB account, but I am deprecating my presence on Facebook and have deleted my Instagram account. Why is this? For one thing, Meta has committed to using all images on their platforms in Generative AI tools. I think the overall scraping of content from artists and creators of all types to allow large platforms to use and/or sell that data to use as pixelized fodder for Generative AI tools has largely been done unethically and I don’t want to support any platform that is so exploitative if I can help it.
